The Treasure Beach Food, Rum and Reggae Festival is set to make its much-anticipated return, following its well-received debut in 2023.

This year, the event will be held from November 7 to 9, in the bread basket parish of St Elizabeth, and the Jamaica Tourist Board has joined as an official partner.

Organisers are promising an unforgettable blend of culinary delights, locally distilled rums, and the infectious sounds of reggae that define the area's charm.

Newly appointed co-festival director, Gregory Wright, shared his enthusiasm for the event.

"Treasure Beach is indeed a treasure that I hold near and dear to my heart, so when I got the opportunity to partner with my fellow director, Jason Henzell, and nurture this project it really was a no-brainer," Wright said.

"Our aim is to make this a staple event that locals, cultural tourists and lovers of Treasure Beach can look forward to annually, while maintaining the authenticity of Treasure Beach and creating another avenue to put Jamaica on the map," he added.

With its stunning coastal beauty, cultural richness, and laid-back energy, Treasure Beach, the home of Calabash, is considered the perfect backdrop for the immersive three-day festival.

Donovan White, Jamaica's director of tourism, expressed strong support for the festival's mission and its role in enhancing the island's tourism offerings. He said that the Treasure Beach Food, Rum and Reggae Festival not only highlights the authentic spirit of Treasure Beach, but also invites visitors to immerse themselves in the unique cultural tapestry that makes Jamaica so unforgettable.

"It's initiatives like these that deepen our destination's appeal and support community tourism in a meaningful way," White said.

Beyond the stage and food stalls, festivalgoers will be treated to curated experiences including tours of Lover's Leap, the iconic Pelican Bar, and the mouthwatering delight of peppered shrimp in Middle Quarters.
