A financial advisor is scheduled to appear in the Trelawny Parish Court on Wednesday for allegedly withdrawing money from a joint account without the other party's permission.

Thirty-five-year-old Shane Grant, of Irwin Point, Montego Bay, St James, has been charged with simple larceny.

Reports from the Falmouth police are that about 9:30 a.m. on July 2, Grant allegedly withdrew $1, 871.90 USD belonging to a woman with whom he shared a bank account, without her permission.

A report was made to the police after the woman instructed him to repay the amount and he refused.

Following an investigation, Grant was taken into custody on July 25, where he was subsequently charged.
