‘Do Do’ charged with stabbing death of man at wake

Detectives assigned to the St Catherine North police division have charged 25-year-old Shavaughn 'Do Do' McBean with the stabbing death of a man at a wake over the weekend.

McBean, who also goes by 'Mongoose', is charged with the murder of Kevin Robinson otherwise called 'Maggie', 25, a labourer of Williamsfied district, Riversdale in St Catherine.

Reports are that about 1:00 a.m. on July 26, Robinson was at the wake in Williamsfield when an altercation started between him and McBean.

It is reported that during the altercation McBean allegedly brandished a knife and stabbed Robinson three times in the chest.

Robinson was assisted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation was launched which resulted in McBean's arrest.

He was charged yesterday after a question and answer session in the presence of an attorney.

A court date is being finalised for his appearance.
