Led by their Class One Girls' 4x100 metres relay quartet of Alana Reid, Oneika McAnnuff, Shania Myers and Aaliah Baker with a season-leading time of 44.69 seconds, Hydel High produced some outstanding performances at last weekend's Camperdown Classic inside the National Stadium.

Reid, the 200m bronze medallist at last year's World Under-20 Championships in Colombia, gave her team a flying start in the relay, and her teammates had little to do for the remainder of the race.

With the first session of Saturday's meet listed for females only, the Ferry-based Hydel got off to a winning start as they clocked the fastest time in the Class Four event, stopping the clock in a season-leading 49.18 seconds. St Jago High took second in 50.45, with Immaculate Conception High third in 50.91.

Hydel also registered the fastest time in Class Two, winning in 46.61 seconds ahead of St Jago who did 47.28 and St Catherine High with 47.49.

Wolmer's Girls' Class Three quartet, led by the brilliant Tiana Marshall and Natrece East, were also solid after winning the event in 46.95 seconds ahead of Hydel in 47.16 with St Jago in 48.12.

Hydel captured the top three spots in the Class One 100m as Reid won in 11.64 seconds, ahead of Baker, in 11.79 and McAnnuff in 11.95. Harika Christie captured the triple jump Open for Hydel with a record 12.20m.

Kishay Rowe of Alphansus Davis High was also in good form at the meet. Davis, consistent so far in the middle distance events, raced to a personal best of two minutes 9.28 seconds to capture the Class One 800m. Hydel's Danniel King, 2:13.07, was second with Shone Walters of St Mary High third in 2:14.72.

Tabbrel Williams of Alphansus Davis was fastest in the Class Three 800m in 2:19 .43 minutes, while Misha Jade Samuels of St Jago topped Class Two in 2:14.29.

Former national 400m hurdles champion Ronda Whyte picked up a win in the flat event. Competing for Swept Track Club, Whyte won the 400m in 53.60 seconds ahead of Jodean Williams (55.13) of Racers Track Club.
