Teen accused of stealing wallet moments after entering man's home
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged after allegedly stealing a man's after being invited to his home in Newcombe Valley, St Elizabeth, on Friday, July 18.
The teen has been charged with larceny from the dwelling.
Allegations are that that around 8:30 p.m., the man opened his door to the teen.
Soon after he was allegedly seen leaving a room with the wallet in hand. When confronted, the teen allegedly bolted from the house and escaped.
The wallet was later found in the yard, but $7,000 was missing.
A report was made, and police launched an investigation. The accused was arrested the following day and charged on Sunday, July 20, after giving a caution statement.
His court date is being finalised.
