Trippple X unfazed by critics following arrest
Social media commentator Darrielle Cummings, more popularly known as Trippple X, said he is unbothered by the negative criticisms he has received since being arrested.
Cummings was released on a US$25 bail bond after he was arrested for petit theft on August 26 in Florida.
The 34-year-old was arrested by the North Lauderdale police in Broward County in the US state. It is alleged that Cummings tried to take $256 worth of goods from a Walmart.
Speaking with THE STAR via telephone yesterday, the blogger refused to comment on the charges stating that he would do so at a later date, but says he holds no grievance or animosity to those criticising him.
"I am asking anyone not to be disappointed or demotivated by this whole ting ya because mi a go continue make di same type a commentary and content so this nah go stop or hinder anything whe mi did a do. Just gwan ride it out with mi and who deh ya with mi, deh ya with mi, and who have to leave, just suh it go," he said.
He stated that he has seen and heard the rumours that have been swirling but says he is all for freedom of speech.
"Dem see whe dem see and anybody can make whatever assumptions that they want to make but when everything is sorted out, I will come out and say mi piece. Social media is for persons to voice their opinions and I can't stop anyone from saying what they want to say because mi duh di same too," he said.
