Alcohol found on comet

Lovejoy the comet makes more alcohol in a year than the whole of France.

The space rock has impressed stargazers since January when it reached the closest point to the sun on its 19,000-year orbit, and now astronomers have discovered it brews the equivalent of 500 bottles of wine every second. It's the first time scientists have found ethyl alcohol on a comet and it's speculated that the "rocket fuel" from celestial objects could have brought life to earth.
