When Molynes United take on Harbour View on Sunday in the Wray and Nephew-sponsored Jamaica Premier League (JPL), head coach Jermaine Thomas is aware anything less than a win could prove pivotal in his team's chances of survival.

Molynes currently sit 10th in the JPL standing with 26 points, two ahead of Harbour View with 24.

Both teams have struggled for portions of the season and are hoping to pick up as many points as they can in the third round to ensure they remain clear of the relegation zone.

Molynes got a major boost to their survival fight last time out, when they clipped lowly Vere Phoenix United 3-2 in a tense come-from-behind win.

The Kingston-based club had fallen two goals behind to Vere Phoenix within the opening 10 minutes of the contest but clawed their way to three points after an inspired second-half performance.

Thomas said the win was crucial as it helped to lift the team's confidence following their first win in eight games.

"It means a lot. It means a whole lot to us because it's three points; three big points," he said after the win.

"We have moved seven points away from the relegation zone. Going forward, it would have meant a whole lot to us confidence-wise because we needed that. We had been going without a win for a little time getting three points here was massive and I'm grateful for that."

They will enter their upcoming fixture against Harbour View with that confidence, but are cautious of their opponents.

The last time the two teams met, Molynes walked way 3-1 victors thanks to a brace from Peter McGregor and a lone goal from schoolboy Devone Davis.

Thomas warned, however, that this will not be the same Harbour View unit they are set to face following the Stars of the East's investments during the January transfer window.

"Away to Harbour View is a tough one. They have reorganised and they have been doing better. They went into the window and did very well. I know it is going to be a tough one but we are ready.

"Once we go out there and get things done, then we will be victorious," he added.

The teams will meet at the Harbour View Mini Stadium with kick-off at 3:30 p.m.

Also on the day, Dunbeholden will play hosts to league leaders Mount Pleasant while Vere Phoenix and Humble Lion, the two lowest ranked teams in the league, will face off at the Wembley Centre of Excellence.
