Manchester, May Day remain on top in ISSA rural netball

LAST YEAR'S beaten senior finalists Manchester High and May Day High stayed perfect in second round action of the ISSA rural netball competition after scoring their second wins yesterday.

Playing in Group Two at St Elizabeth Technical High, Manchester defeated Maggotty High 33-24 to register their second straight win to lead the group with four points, two more than Holmwood Technical who were idle yesterday.

Mile Gully and May Day also scored good wins on the day in Group One. Playing at Manning's School, Mile Gully High scored a big 44-23 victory over Herbert Morrison Technical. In another Group One match at St Elizabeth Technical, May Day had an impressive 44-18 win over Hampton High.

Yesterday also saw Dinthill High getting the better of York Castle High 28-13 and Guy's Hill High squeezing out a narrow 19-18 victory over Tacky High at Moneague Community College. Cambridge High also had a 29-13 win over Montego Bay High at the Montego Bay Boys and Girls' Club.

In junior action, Manchester High produced the biggest win on the day after whipping Hampton High 48-14.
