St Catherine trounce Dunoon 63-3

St Catherine High senior netballers were in a no-nonsense mood and trounced east Kingston-based Dunoon Technical High 63-3 at their St John's Road home on Monday, in Zone B of the urban area's ISSA schoolgirl netball competition.

It was the biggest win on the day, as with goal shooter Kellian Hunter and goal attack Kaydeen Gordon bang in form, St Catherine raced to a 19-0 first-quarter lead before extending it to 33-2 at the half-time break.

The onslaught continued after the break as they led 42-3 at the end of the third quarter before adding 21 unanswered goals in the final quarter for their impressive win.

In Zone B, Camperdown High made it two wins from two matches after getting by hosts St Jago High 28-21.

In other under-19 matches, Ardenne stopped Holy Childhood 29-15, while Jonathan Grant got the better of Waterford High 32-21.

In the junior competition, Camperdown beat St Jago 19-15, Jose Marti stopped Waterford 49-5, Excelsior defeated St Andrew High 8-7, Eltham overrun Meadowbrook 32-12, Jonathan Grant conquer Clan Carthy 29-15 and Kingston Technical outplayed Charlie Smith 21-8.
