The Business House Open League netball competition will get under way today at the Leila Robinson Courts at 5:45 p.m. after an absence of two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Heart Trust will tackle RJRGLEANER in the opening match with 2018 and 2019 champions National Housing Trust (NHT) battling Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) at 6:45 p.m.

The Christopher Smart-coached NHT will start overwhelming favourites to lift the title in the truncated season, which has only eight teams participating. NHT won the Opening Rally in Saturday's dress parade as they defeated Ministry of Education A in the final.

NHT have several present and former national senior players in their squad.

Former national players include former captain Vangelee Williams, Kerry Ann Brown and Trishana Hanson, while present players are Nicole Dixon and Abbigail Linton, who captained NHT when they lifted the title in 2018 by beating the then Winston Nevers-coached Scotiabank.

On Thursday, there will be another double-header at the same venue as at 5:45 p.m., Ministry of Education A oppose Heart Trust, while at 6:45 p.m., Ministry of Education B battle Alorica.

The eight teams participating are NHT, RJRGLEANER, ATL, Heart Trust, Jamaica Fire Brigade, Ministry of Education A and Ministry of Education B.
