Reggae Girlz draw closer to World Cup

After winning two consecutive games in the CONCACAF Caribbean Women's final stage, Jamaica's assistant coach for the Reggae Girlz Andrew Price says it is time to prepare for the clash against ace rival Trinidad and Tobago.
Jamaica defeated Bermuda 4-0 last Monday night at the National Stadium to follow up on the big 9-0 drubbing of Antigua and Barbuda on the tournament's opening fixture last Saturday night.
Following those easy victories, Price is expecting a tougher encounter on Friday night against T&T.
"We will go and prepare for Trinidad and Tobago who we will play on Friday. We are aware that another positive result will see us through to the CONCACA stage scheduled in the United States of America in October," Price told STAR Sports.
Reflecting on that game, he said the margin of victory could have been wider as the girls failed to convert some clear opportunities.
"The most important thing is that the job was done. We are on way to the next stage. We wanted to get more goals but we put in a good shift," he added.
At the completion of the five-nation tournament, the top three will advance to CONACAF stage of the World Cup qualifiers, where the top three teams will qualify for the 2019 World Cup in France.
