Clarendon face tough Dinthill
Western Bureau
Defending champions Clarendon College will turn their attention to Group S of the ISSA-FLOW daCosta Cup this afternoon after a good win in the FLOW Super Cup last Saturday.
The champions have been strong all season, but will be facing perhaps their toughest opponents of the season so far in a determined Dinthill Technical side that made light work of their challenges in the preliminary and Inter-zone phase of the competition.
"We won our Super Cup game playing good football and it will be no different against Dinthill," said Paul 'Tegat' Davis, coach of Clarendon College.
"My players are fit and ready for this one," he added.
The champions are on a 12-match unbeaten run and will enter today's contest in good spirits.
The other Group S encounter will be between two former champions, Rusea's High and Glenmuir High. This game will be played at Jarrett Park.
A battle royal looms at the York Oval, where Paul Bogle High welcome Theodore Whitmore's St James High in a tough Group P encounter, while the Manchester versus Lacovia High game will take its fair share of interest.
