Businesswoman hit with larceny charge

July 29, 2025

Thirty-three-year-old businesswoman Reva Powell, of Chudleigh district, Manchester, has been charged with larceny by trick and simple larceny following an incident in June.

Reports from the Mandeville police are that a woman loaned Powell her Honda Fit motor car to attend a graduation. Following the event, the woman contacted the accused to retrieve her vehicle. Powell allegedly asked to use the car for an additional week. At the end of the extension, the vehicle was not returned. It is alleged that Powell went to the woman's house, stole her vehicle documents, and transferred the ownership of the vehicle in her name without the woman's consent or knowledge.

A report was made to the police and following an investigation, Powell was instructed to report to the police station with the vehicle and its documents. Powell was charged on Saturday after she handed over the documents and could not give an account for the vehicle.

She is scheduled to appear in the Manchester Parish Court on August 5.
