After living a wild life, Regina Stewart Johnson turned things around and is now fully committed to God.

Once a party queen, Regina Stewart Johnson has swapped wild nights of drinking, smoking and non-stop partying for worship, and is now dancing solely for the Lord.

Stewart Johnson, a former tattoo and piercing artist, surrendered to the Lord two months ago, and has shared her testimony in the hope that it will bring sinners to repentance.

The 26-year-old revealed that last year, before she accepted Christ as her Saviour, she prayed fervently for a series of life changes, including getting a visa, a driver's licence, and a car. Her prayers were answered, but she soon found herself drifting away from God.

Guilt nibbled at her conscience and she feared that God would punish her for turning her back at Him. And when her one-year-old son, Ace, fell gravely ill, suffering a collapsed lung and seizures, she became convinced that God was showing her a sign.

"In October of last year, I started to feel ungrateful because I got so much things that I asked [God] for, day in day out, and it's like mi just turn mi back pon God.

Stewart Johnson said she remembered telling someone on October 5, last year, that she thinks God would punish her for turning her back on Him. The very next day, her baby fell ill.

FAITH STRONGER

"He was on oxygen for seven days. Yuh know say my faith in God a guh get back stronger because I didn't want my son to die. I apologised to the Almighty ," she told THE STAR.

Determined to reconnect with her faith, Stewart Johnson resumed her attendance at Sunday services. Her job as a manager at a call centre made it difficult, but on May 18, despite battling a severe headache and fatigue, she made it to church with her boyfriend.

"The pastor ask who want to give them life to God and little bit before mi could step forward, my boyfriend step forward and I was shocked because it wasn't like we had a conversation about it," she said.

She too surrendered her life to God. They got baptised that same day, and tied the knot one month later.

Stewart Johnson said her journey has not been easy, as she is continuously facing tests and provocations, particularly on Sundays.

"Mi see a lot of people true colours," she said. "People provoke mi; who nah class mi a tell mi bad thing. Even when I am in church, I get some colourful voice notes about under mi madda. Mi cry about it and pray because back in the days mi would tell dem some things, but now mi just hold mi tongue and know say God a fight the battle for mi," she said.

Reflecting on her life-changing experience, Stewart Johnson has urged others to trust in God's ability to change lives.

"You may have done things in your past and is yet to forgive yourself, but He will forgive you. Just listen to the voice of God and be obedient," the born-again Stewart Johnson said.
