Rising social media personality Anthony 'Paster Comedy' Cargill is shooting his arrow of love into the hearts of females, one lyric at a time.

The 45-year-old St Thomas native gained popularity after a video of him wooing a female went viral. His lyrics got the attention of dancehall artiste Intence, who used it in the intro of his latest hit Shh. Cargill was later compensated by Intence, who gave him $100,000.

"Everybody is loving me more in Morant Bay. The schoolers dem start buying from mi more and things a look up. Everytime Intence song play with mi intro, it make mi more popular and mi thank him for that. Ladies love mi a lot now, too," he said. Cargill said he developed a passion for comedy while he was a ward at the SOS Children's Village in Stony Hill, St Andrew.

"We used to have to practise for Christmas plays, so that's how it came about," he said. The sixth of eight children, Cargill said he was placed at Stony Hill as his mother could not manage to financially provide for all of them. But he stated that she showed them an immense amount of love.

"I didn't understand what was going on, and I remember just crying when I saw that my mother was leaving me. They did treat me good at the home though. She use to visit me, and a car must did lick her down; and for years I didn't see her back. The one day she come and look for me I didn't recognise her," he said.

While at SOS, he attended the Above Rocks Training Centre and a catering school. Cargill said that he has remained as close as possible to the facility.

"Mi start box 'bout the place until eventually people took me into their home. I could have gone back to St Thomas, but Stony Hill was home to me. I started selling at a school gate, but the children never use to buy from me because I was dirty. I cleaned up myself and start sell back. I have always wanted to be a chef, so I buy a kettle out of the selling and I start selling sandwich, burgers, donut and other things," he said. "Dat little shop show mi say life can make, because mi make money. More time all wood fire mi use and cook."

Cargill said he, unfortunately, had to return to Morant Bay and fell on difficult times. He began selling sweets, but that was not enough to make ends meet. But a few months ago, his luck changed as he tried to get a woman's attention.

"Mi did dirty the day and mi see a woman a pass and mi a look her, and she a tell mi say mi can't take care of her. So mi ask her if she nuh want Posturepedic [mattress] and see-through nightie. A woman start video me same time and mi get $500, and the video gone viral. But I didn't even know what that mean. A next time, a next lady call mi and tell mi to give har summen and mi ask har if she don't want a good man. If yuh get a man like mi I will give you lobster, shrimp and berries, take yuh to the car mart and that video go viral again," he said.

Cargill said he was encouraged to create his own social media accounts and upload videos, but didn't know how.

"Intence bring me through and take it and use it. When mi reach out to Intence mi never know what to ask him for, suh mi just say because mi a go through hardship and mi owe a lot of money if him even give me $100,000 it can open whole heap a door. Him send it come give mi and mi did grateful beyond measures, because mi was suffering," he said. Cargill said he purchased stock and restarted his small business. Looking ahead, Cargill has big personal and professional dreams.

"Mi want to go back to chef school, because mi feel like one day mi ago get a son and I want to set life for him and any other children that I get. I want to become a dad by next year, and I am asking God to make a lady grant mi one," he said.

Cargill said that he maintains a close relationship with his mother and loves her.

"I understand that what happened with her was a man's fault, because some don't like to stand beside their women to take care of their kids. Everybody promise her and give her a child; but I will be a father to my children whenever the time comes," he said.
