Please let her go! - Family of Tiffany Murray remains hopeful
When Annette Murray went to church on Sunday, she said a special prayer for her daughter, Tiffany Murray, whose birthday is August 23.
Murray wanted to celebrate the special day with Tiffany, but she cannot, as Tiffany has still not been found after disappearing on March 20, 2019, after she left her St Mary home to go job hunting in St James. Murray said she and Tiffany's nine siblings remain heartbroken, and she can't help but wonder what her daughter's day must have been like.
"From August came into play, I got really sad because I know I was in Tiffany month. I know wherever she is, she did not enjoy herself because she is in bondage. On Sunday, every one of her siblings cried, it was just a sad day. She wasn't there to celebrate with us last year when she turned 28, and now this. I wonder if where she is she knows it's her birthday, and I know her only wish is to be reunited with us, but we will never lose hope ever," she said.
$2-million reward
Tiffany's family has offered a $2-million reward with hopes that credible information about her whereabouts would be forthcoming, but unfortunately, that has not been the case. Tiffany's sister, Alicia, said it's like society has forgotten about Tiffany. "We really don't know what to think because we are not hearing anything from the police either.
The case has gone silent, just like the hundreds of females that remain missing in Jamaica, but we will never give up on her. The reward is still open so we are asking anyone with information to just help us. We are begging them this favour because somebody knows something," she said. Alicia said their father is stressed, and has been drinking and smoking to ease the pain. "Is just his way of crying for her. This little girl did not deserve what is happening to her. It's not like she was a bad child, she is one of the most decent human beings you will ever meet," Alicia said. Murray, who believes Tiffany is being held hostage, hopes her captors will find it in their hearts to release her.
"Please just give her a chance. Not just she alone but for every female that is missing, just give them a chance to return to their family. They have family who love and need them and we cannot function properly without them," she said.
