Michael Wilson is a lucky man. The 69-year-old was the passenger in a vehicle that crashed at the intersection of North and East streets last night. Like the other passengers in the vehicle, he escaped without any visible injuries.

"A the second time mi inna wah accident right yah so. And mi deh right pan the same side, a the front of the taxi, pan the passenger side, weh mi did get the first lick," he said.

Could have been worse

The carpenter said that he is counting his blessings because it could have been worse. He said that he was on his way home to his children, who called him only minutes earlier to say they needed the key to enter the house in Vineyard Town, St Andrew.

The vehicle in which he was travelling had five persons on board. It collided with a Nissan Bluebird motor car at the intersection. It appeared that no one was seriously injured.

"When mi reach close to the stop light mi feel it inna mi spirit seh mi a go get inna wah accident, enuh," he said.

He recalled bawling out "Jesus!" when he realised what was happening.
