Audrey Chin was in tears when she visited THE STAR office on Monday. She stated that she is fearful that the police are going to kill her 23-year-old son Jevon Adams, who she said is constantly being terrorised by a set of lawmen.

"My son cannot walk in his community in peace. Ever since he was freed of murder charges and return home in August, the police have taken set on him. They have run into my home and dig it more than 20 times since him come out and as him walk go on the road, is like a jeep out there a wait to pick him up," she said.

The distraught mother said she has not rested well since Saturday as Adams is currently in detention after he was picked up in his community of Allman Town, central Kingston.

Chin said since he was freed of the murder charges in August, her son has been picked up more than a dozen times by the police but was never charged with a crime.

"He does not have the freedom of movement, and to know that he hasn't done anyone anything and he is being picked up. Mi a beg likkle help because mi love mi son and nuh wah see anyone hurt him," she said.

"Mi really don't know what else to do but mi just want the police dem to leave him out. Mi is not a madda who put up with foolishness, and if him nuh do anything him shouldn't a live in fear. Mr Commissioner, please help us!" she pleaded.
