A special unit that was deployed to the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, to investigate a series of robberies at the institution, has made a major breakthrough after arresting the mastermind.
Robert Foster, 23, of 12 Ferguson Drive, was apprehended when a police team raided his home and found the stolen items.
Reports are that Foster was caught with one Samsung Galaxy S7 cell phone and an American Eagle bag containing TT$33 (J$660.70), BAH$10 (J$1,355.59) and J$10,000.
Further investigations revealed that 37-year-old Jermaine Johnson of Seaview Gardens was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen goods from Foster.

The probe also brought officers to the Pavillion Mall in Half-Way Tree, where they found a HP laptop, while several cell phones that were believed to be stolen at UWI were recovered at 96 Orange Street in Kingston.
Othneil Spence of the George Alleyne Hall at UWI was charged with public mischief after he reportedly told the police that he was robbed on September 21, but they later found out that he was part of the robbery ring that was plaguing the school.
Detectives, while doing their investigations, found out that Spence would sign Foster on to the halls to scout and wreak havoc on the students there.
