Montego Bay-based dancehall artiste Gothic, making a notable impact within the international musical diaspora has always been his aim, and he feels one step closer following a plethora of releases.

After going viral on creator apps with Born Winner, the artiste set a high tone for additional releases such as, Psalms 23, a co-production between his team at Empress Ann Recordz and TrenSetta Music, followed by Night Is Young, a potential summer banger. Having established his musical presence, Gothic successfully gained the attention of the Latin market, landing a promotional tour in Panama inclusive of a performance at Club Red Casco.

"I am blessed to be able to experience real love and support outside of my country. It shows me that my music is transcending and making an impact. This marks my second time in Panama and I can definitely say it feels like home, the support is real," said Gothic.

The artiste has secured collaborations with prominent reggaeton artiste Nizze, as well as chart-topping Latin musicians Don Pablo Mures and Elisama, alongside internal fashion icon and artiste Paradoxx.

Empress Ann, who is guiding Gothic's career, explained why she chose the Latin market for her artiste.

"Panama is my home country and dancehall resonates so much with Latin music and for that reason, I felt inclined to collaborate with the players in Panama," she said.

"The impact of dancehall in Panama has steadily increased over the years and is not only limited to music; it extends to community engagement and cultural exchange. Gothic visited numerous communities and everyone loved learning from him while teaching him their culture. By fostering connections with local talent and producers, we are all contributing to the cultivation of a richer artistic landscape."

Gothic described the collaborations as an important milestone for him.

"I have always seen myself working with top Latin artistes and to have this experience at such an early stage in my career is truly a blessing. I am thankful to my management team, my supporters and the artistes who have decided to lend their talents and time to these projects," he said.
