Lisa Hyper in ‘a great place’
Dancehall artiste Lisa Hyper says that she is in "a great place" mentally and is ready to focus on her music, her business ventures and making her life worthwhile.
In recent times, the Come Ova singer has been experiencing a cluster of mental health-related episodes.
"Right now I'm in a very good place ... give thanks to my doctor, Dr Saphire Longmore, and the staff at Ward 21 [at the University Hospital of the West Indies]. I have changed up my circle, I am taking my meds ... I don't have a problem taking it," Lisa Hyper said.

As part of her journey back, Lisa Hyper plans to launch the Gooden Foundation for Mental Health and Down's Syndrome. But even before getting it off the ground, she has appealed to persons with mental health challenges to follow the advice of professionals.
"First of all, to all those out there with mental health problem, I want to say to take your medication. Don't listen to people ... they are not on your journey. People who have mental health issues are special people. There is no shame in it. I see doctors and lawyers up at Ward 21," she said.
