Roots Reggae singer Warrior King gets to the 'Rootz' of the matter on a combination of cultural and romantic issues addressed in his fifth studio album, the Rootz Warrior set for release next month.

On the first half of the 14-track compilation Warrior King, born Mark Dyer, serves up an offering of inspirational songs such as Stand Up Inna the Fyah and Ain't Giving Up, urging fellow Rastafarians to keep the faith, especially in times of struggle. Then, on tracks such as Moonlight Bright he reminds us about the power of nature and its influence on human relationships.

"Rootz Warrior because I am always defending the roots and roots music as positive and uplifting, and without the root, the stem leaves and branches cannot flourish," Warrior King responded when asked about the album title. "Also, the Rootz Warrior is the name of my company."

In fact, the three-year project is executively produced by the Rootz Warrior label alongside Irie Sounds International and features work from top

producers locally and internationally. It includes collaborations with top acts Beres Hammond and Richie Spice.

The album, set for digital distribution by Zojak Worldwide, is also scheduled for release in stores and on iTunes in February. It comes four years after How Me Sound and is getting rave reviews from the United States west coast where Warrior King is currently on tour.

Also on Monday, February 29, the artiste plans to host a virtual listening session on soundcloud 'warrior king music' to give fans all over the world the opportunity to preview the album.
