JC captain looks forward to senior career
Having capped a near -perfect Inter-Secondary School Sports Association ISSA/Flow Manning Cup career with Jamaica College Allando Brown remains buoyed about making the progression into national senior ranks.
Brown featured prominently in the national under 20 and under 17 football teams and would still be eligible for under 20 selection.
He also featured for reigning Red Stripe Premier League champions Arnett Gardens, last season.
"I am most definitely aiming to become a key member and my aim is now making the senior Reggae Boyz team, after I think I played well and gave a lot in the under 17 and under 20 before," Brown told STAR Sports after he lead JC to the 2016 Manning Cup title.
Brown is putting his tertiary studies first.
He is in the process of completing his Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) examinations in order to enrol in a college overseas, where he shared that he has several "nice offers".
At JC, Brown spent four years dominating and winning from the under 14 to the Manning Cup.
"It's really the best start I could have hoped for a football career. From under 14, we won every single final, lost only one under 16 and one Manning Cup. It's really great.
"I am confident I will help the team win seven trophies at the under 19 level when we play in the Olivier Shield final," he said.
"I feel overwhelmed leaving JC after seven years. It means everything to me in my final year, in my fourth season here at Jamaica College."
