Sophia Gabriel is the proud author of a book entitled ' Activation', which speaks to people recognising and fulfilling their purpose.

"We are trying hard to find our destinies and the purpose that God has for us so we can fulfill that purpose. When persons say that opportunities come once, that's a lie because opportunities always abound and present themselves. When you recognise an opportunity and you seize it, that's when you are activated because God is not going to sit down and throw things at us. We have to make that first step," she said.

Being a Christian for 25 years, Gabriel said that she hopes the book will help people to seize opportunities as they arise.

"The book is biblically grounded with scriptures because that is my base, but the principles are universal and anybody can recognise where they are in their lives, using the principles I have outlined. One of the things that I mentioned is that there is an intrinsic thing that God has placed in all of us and that gift needs to be activated externally," she said.

Gabriel, a first-time writer, said that putting the book together and getting it published was a difficult journey. She said that since the release of the book, she has been invited to speak at various functions.

"It is more than I ever imagined. The Bible says 'eyes have not seen ... ears have not heard'. He also says: 'He can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask for,' and that is what I am experiencing. I didn't imagine being here," she said.
