A St Catherine man pleaded guilty to defrauding a man out of $350,000 after tricking him into believing that he worked with a construction company.
Charged with obtaining money by means of false pretence is Leroy Barclay.
He has been remanded until August 8, when he will be sentenced.
Allegations are that on March 2, 2016, Barclay approached the complainant, who was about to roof his house, and convinced him that he operated a truck for a company that offered those services. houses.
He said that it would cost $700,000. He negotiated and collected half the proposed sum from the complainant.
