St Thomas man arrested after allegedly pulling gun from tree
A man in St Thomas stunned residents and police on Sunday when he reportedly retrieved a homemade firearm hidden in a tree leading to his arrest.
According to the Morant Bay police, about 1:00 p.m. on July 6, residents in Danvers Pen, Trinityville, raised the alarm after spotting the man openly walking along the roadway with the firearm reportedly.
The cops confronted the man, who then led them into a vegetated area and pointed out a tree where he had allegedly stashed the weapon. A homemade gun was retrieved and seized at the location.
The man was immediately taken into custody. However, his identity is being withheld as investigations continue.
