Edwin Allen High School throwers Christopher Young and Trevor Gunzell continued their impressive season form with another one-two finish in the Class One Boys shot put on the second day of competition at the Central Athletics Championships at the GC Foster College in St Catherine on Wednesday.

Young, who lost to his teammate on the opening day in the Boy's Discus, reversed the placing this time around with a record breaking heave of 18.77m.

Gunzell, who finished second with 18.71m, also beat the old record of 18.34m set by former Edwin Allen thrower Demar Gayle in 2015.

St Jago High School's Brandon Gayle finished third with 17.85m.
