Politics didn’t pay for my Lambo - PNP councillor dismisses rumours about expensive sports car
Hugh Graham, the councillor for the Lluidas Vale Division in North West St Catherine and owner of the luxurious orange Lamborghini that caught the eyes of many at the funeral for slain Member of Parliament (MP) for East Portland, Lynvale Bloomfield, is seeking to dismiss rumours that he was able to afford the car because of his involvement in politics.
"My salary as a councillor is $100,000 per month," he said.
blessed me bountifully
Graham stressed that his company, Paramount Trading Jamaica Limited, is celebrating 28 years of existence and entering its sixth year on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market.
"I decided to go into politics to give back, as God and Jamaica have blessed me bountifully," he added.
Graham said that he has been a councillor in North West St Catherine for more than 10 years, and he has been working.
"In that time, I have been able to implement many programmes; from road rehabilitation to the building of basic school, classroom and recreational spaces, and youth and women empowerment programmes," he said.
