Bugle and Grammy-nominated singer Olaf Blackwood are excited about their single, 'Heart Too Clean', which was released last Friday.

They said the collaboration was designed by fate, as they share similar musical skills, knowledge and experience, which created a "pure and authentic" sound and message.

"A lot of the inspiration for the song is from a reflection from the people who I am around, and people who are like me or in a similar situation. The kind of love and loyalty weh we show, it's not reciprocated and we know that these people are not deserving of this kind of energy. But I can't help the fact that I have this kind of faith in mankind that they can change," said Blackwood. Bugle said the song reminds him of his hit single Nuh Compatible.

"Sometimes wi a try help some people weh God a beat; a just retribution. Mi and you can't save the world because wi have good heart. Wi a go always try help somebody in the process, but wi cya help everybody. The song also highlighted that sometimes yuh a operate pon a love basis with some people who is not even gonna accept you loving them. Everyone can relate to this song," said Bugle.

Blackwood said he always aspired to work with Bugle, as his hit song Don't Blame Life inspired him during a very dark path in his life.

"He's someone that I hold in very high regard, so when my friend Richie said that he would love for me to work with him on this song, I said that's amazing. We then send my rough demo to Bugle and before the day done, him send mi back a verse. I was astonished, and the rest was history," he shared.

"He's a professional and he pays attentional to the smallest details; a perfectionist and someone who knows his craft. He's a real genuine and blessed bredda, because wi siddung and reason about life, exchange book ideas, and have some deep conversation. It was just very inspiring and he's someone I've always wanted to work with, it just happened when it's supposed to," he added.

Sharing similar sentiments, Bugle said he instantly fell in love with the song.

"Suh mi tek it over and bring it to fruition. I did the whole production, shoot the video and do the artwork, because mi just neva waah put it off fi another day or leave it in the hands of another producer," he said.

"It was an excited vibe working with Olaf, and right now we even have another single coming up after this. Our voices really complement each other's. [He] is a brilliant artiste," Bugle told THE STAR.

Blackwood, who was born in St Elizabeth but is based in the US, said most of his songs are in the pop and EDM category; however, he also mastered dancehall as a singer and songwriter. He has worked with several international and local talents and is featured on Spice's Grammy-nominated album, 10. He has also written songs for international superstar Shaggy and Beenie Man. His songs include One Of These Days, and God Knows Better with Bounty Killer.
