Blind woman says Kanye is her type of man

Though visually impaired, 43-year-old Camile Henry said nothing could deter her from being at Kanye West’s ‘Sunday Service’ last Friday night.

Henry, who travelled from Portmore, St Catherine, told THE STAR that Kanye West sounds like the perfect man. “Me caan see…not even a likkle fog. Me grow up blind, from me a three me blind. But based on what me hear, him (Kanye West) sound like a handsome and healthy man. Him sound like my type a man, plus him firm ina him faith … oh Jesus, I wish I coulda meet him backstage,” she said.

The Braeton resident says she was moved by Kanye’s voice, and wishes he would come to Jamaica to perform again. “Him talk nice and di man can sing too. Me like what I hear…me enjoy it 100%, I cannot lie. It sound fresh and a dats why him draw suh much young people. Look how much young people here worshipping tonight. Him fi come back tomorrow and Sunday…I wish him coulda come back again, because me in love wid him voice.”

Henry added that the country needed to have more Christian events as she believes this will help in the fight against crime.

“Me nuh really know dis Kanye man, but me hear me grandson a seh him turn Christian and a come preach a Jamaica, suh me come fi sing and praise even ina my state. We need more big Christian events like dis man, Jamaica need some more God. A pure killing and robbing and murdering and heartlessness as of recent ina we country. Hopefully, dis is a step inna the right direction fi we. It just sad say is a foreigner haffi come show we.”

She is calling for more Jamaicans to put their trust in God.

“I did get a ticket fi go Buju show, but me enjoy dis more. Dem deh yah a worry bout secular and rapping and a wonda if di man is a Christian, but all a dem a jump up and dung fi Buju as him run out a prison. Buju come out a prison a sing di same rubbish weh him mek before him go in deh but dem run backa him. Well a time fi run backa di gospel,” she said.
