St Catherine CC, Boys’ Town, Trelawny win in Senior Cup’s fourth round

St Catherine Cricket Club and Trelawny Cricket Association secured the biggest wins while Boys' Town also chalked up their second win as fourth-round action in the Jamaica Cricket Association Michael Holding Senior Cup culminated on Sunday.
At Chedwin Park, hosts St Catherine CC pulled off a massive innings and 231-run win over Kingston and St Andrew Cricket Association (KSACA) in their Zone F clash.
After routing KSACA for 102, the 'Saints' then piled up a whopping 524 all out, with national player Ramaal Lewis topscoring with 165. Marlon Williams weighed in with 143, with Kennar Lewis becoming the third centurion of the innings following his 135.
Conroy Goss took five wickets for 63 for the KSACA side, who managed to score 191 in their second turn at the crease. Windel Bailey was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts with five for 58 while spinner Vitel Lawes took four for 88.
St Catherine CCC lead Zone F with 16 points, one point ahead of Melbourne CC , who won first-innings points in their drawn game against UWI at Mona Bowl.
In Zone B, Trelawny secured an impressive innings and 188-run win over St James at Trelawny Stadium.
Following his six wickets against Westmorland last week, Osbourne Palmer was back among the wickets as he took four for 19 to skittle out St James for 76.
Opener Kobie Henry then hit 137 and Howard Palmer 99 in leading Trelawny to 354 for eight declared.
Howard Palmer then returned with the ball to bag five for 35 and Osbourne Palmer four for six to dismiss St James for 90.
The win sees Trelawny in second place on 13 points, three behind leaders Westmorland, who won first-innings points in their drawn encounter against Hanover.
In the meantime, Boys' Town remain in third spot in Zone D despite their 10-wicket win over St Thomas at Collie Smith Drive.
St Thomas first made 105, to which Boys' Town replied with 241 for seven declared. Dantae Clarke led the way with 68. Dawit Morgan then bagged five for 25 to dismiss St Thomas for 157. Boys' Town then raced to 22 without loss to seal the win.
Kingston CC lead Zone D with 21 points, this after they secured first innings points over second-place Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) in their drawn encounter at Sabina Park.
National wicketkeeper batsman Romaine Morris was one of the standout performers in that contest, scoring 117 for the Tigers, who made 240 replying to the army men's 170 first-innings score. The JDF reached 175 for four in their second innings, with Tevin Gilzene scoring 86.
