Pregnancy heartbreak - Man cries after girlfriend gets pregnant for another man
Camille's* partner broke down in tears when she told him she was pregnant by another man.
The two have been living under the same roof for the past three years, and share a two-year-old daughter. However, their relationship encountered a rocky patch last year, and it provided the window for Camille to get entangled with Tyreese*.
"Mi and him did a go through it bad," she said, as she sought to explain how she became entangled with Tyreese.
"Mi feel like wi did a guh done. Him stop touch mi, stop show mi love, like mi never exist."
Feeling rejected and alone, Camille found comfort in Tyreese. The connection was short-lived but intense, and things escalated quickly.
"Mi never plan fi it go so, but mi end up pregnant. When mi find out, mi shock, but mi tell mi babyfather same time, and mi nah tell nuh lie, mi did think mi woulda get a 2x4 [a piece of lumber] cross mi back, but mi shock when him sit down and cry," Camille revealed.
Tyreese, however, had doubts about the child's paternity. Despite signing the birth certificate, the 31-year-old had questioned whether he is the father of the two-month-old.
Desperate for answers, Tyreese turned to DNA Detective, which is a collaboration between this newspaper and DNA-testing company, Polygenics Consulting, to help him uncover the truth.
Polygenics collected samples from Tyreese and the child for DNA testing.
The results were conclusive.
Tyreese is the father.
"Mi nah tell nuh lie, right now mi overwhelmed wid joy," Tyreese told THE WEEKEND STAR, moments after receiving the life-changing news. "Mi really happy fi hear seh him a mi son. A di best news mi get inna long while," he added with a deep sigh of relief.
But while the results confirmed what Camille had been saying all along, it stirred up fresh emotions, because her heart, she explained, belongs to another man; the one she cheated on.
"As much as mi f**g up, mi love mi babyfadda, and is a good man. Imagine mi bun him and him never turn him back pon mi. Nuff man nah do dat, especially when dem find out di pickney a nuh fi dem," she said.
Camille, 27, shares her first two children -- ages 13 and eight -- with one man, while each of the younger three - ages three, two, and the two-month-old baby -- have different fathers.
She told THE WEEKEND STAR that she and the father of her two-year-old, with whom she lives, are working on their relationship despite the dynamics. She is surprised that he has not lashed out, but instead, has decided to try work things out.
"Mi tell him everything, mi neva wah hide nothing," Camille shared. "Mi never wah dung di line either mi son get sick, or di man get sick, and a blood test duh and everything come to light. Mi did just feel like it woulda come out eventually, and mi prefer di truth now dan shame later," added Camille.
She also told THE WEEKEND STAR that despite knowing the baby is not his, her partner chose to stay and help raise the child.
"Mi cyaah lie, it still hurt him. Mi see it inna him face sometimes," Camille admitted.
"But him treat di baby like him own. Him buy him tings, help mi feed him, show him love, suh mi glad him choose fi forgive me."
As for Tyreese, the results gave him peace of mind and a new sense of purpose.
"Mi did always feel seh something nuh add up. Cause she still live wid di man, and mi spirit just never tek it," he said. "But mi glad mi never walk weh. Mi glad mi know now, and mi deh yah fi mi youth."
Though he had hopes of building something with Camille, Tyreese says he respects her decision to stick with her man.
"Mi still have feelings fi her, yes, mi naah go lie, but a she affi decide weh she want. Mi nah pressure her. Mi just wah mi son know seh mi a him fadda and mi a go always deh yah."
