The community of Time and Patience in Linstead, St Catherine, is on high alert following criminal attacks that left one man dead and another hospitalisedÌýon TuesdayÌýnight.

Dead isÌýNicholas Campbell, 34,Ìýof the Wallen Housing Scheme.

Police reports stateÌýthat about 11:00 p.m. they were summoned to the area andÌýCampbell, who was of unsound mind, was discovered with gunshot wounds.

A fewÌýhours earlier, around 8:13 p.m.,Ìýa 38-year-old tractor operator was also shot during a robbery at a shop in the same community.

The injured were taken to hospitalÌýwhere Campbell succumbed to his injuries and the other man wasÌýhospitalised.

The Linstead Criminal Investigations Branch is probing the incidents.
