Fusion reggae artiste Stacey Mirander is well aware of the societal ills that exist in today's world.

But with her latest single, Mankind, she simply wants to inspire the world with hope of a brighter tomorrow despite all the gloom-and-doom.

" Mankind is a song about social and societal enlightenment - how people have changed, how the world has shifted and how the truth got twisted. I have realised firsthand the harsh reality of the fictitiousness of mankind and it has become quite hard to ignore," she said.

"It is fair to say we have seen where fairness is lost, justice system is broken and how we have grown unkind to our own kind."

The song, released on her own label, presents a simple and optimistic view of the world, highlighting its beauty and the joy of human connection, while challenging the human race to do more.

She croons: " Never sell out your soul. Never give up control. Honour your father and mother. The world is yours..."

Mankind carries the emotional weight of experience but delivers it with elegance and strength. In short, Stacey Mirander is calling out the resilience of the soul.

The lyrics go: " And even though we are one kind, still this world can be so unkind/You can never diminish a natural kind/You need to know yourself, mankind'".

"This line hits the paradox of humanity: we are connected - by blood, by spirit, by earth - and yet, we wound each other so easily. We need to remind ourselves of realness, authenticity, truth and this can't be erased, no matter how much the world tries to suppress or distort it," she said.
