All-White magic - Sumfest party lights up Pier One
Judging by the radiant smiles and non-stop dancing at Reggae Sumfest's All-White party on Tuesday night, the event was pure magic.
Carlene Whittingham, visiting from Philadelphia with her crew, captured the night's spirit perfectly. A dedicated All-White fan, she revealed that this event is a non-negotiable highlight of every Jamaica trip.
"I am very strategic when planning my trips to Jamaica, and this is one of those events that I make sure I plan my vacation around. I love the energy here and I don't want any year to pass me," she said.
"This is maybe my fifth time at All-White, and I have never been disappointed. Me and my girls always have so much fun. It is easily one of the best events on the Reggae Sumfest line-up."
Her friend Patricia echoed the sentiment with equal enthusiasm.
"We're out here on the pier, and it's just good vibes brought on by good music. When you come to All-White, you know the song selections are going to take you back in time to some of the best moments in music, and I love that," she said.
"I haven't stopped dancing since I got here because the energy hasn't dropped, not even a little. All-White has my heart, and as long as I am in Jamaica when it happens, I'll be back."
The party's pulse was driven by DJs Jigga, Sky Juice, Narity, Courtney, and Theron, who guided the crowd through spontaneous dance-offs and karaoke-style sing-alongs. Pier One transformed into a lively dance studio and open-air choir, with everyone fully engaged.
DJ Jigga, making his All-White debut, described the experience as unforgettable.
"I had an amazing time. The people received me well, and I appreciated that, and so it was easy for me to feed them good music," he said.
"MoBay loves this event because it brings people from all walks of life, not just Jamaica. What I love is that although the people dress up in dem good clothes, dem nah act like dem can't dance. They enjoyed themselves, and I love that."
Legendary DJ Sky Juice also showered praise on the event.
"This is one of the biggest All-White parties in Jamaica, and I love it," the veteran said.
"This party is an international event, attracting foreigners who fly in for the occasion and have a great time. Mi nuh even see where this party can improve; everything is nice about it. I think it's just going to get bigger and bigger," he added.
