High-powered rifle seized by cops in St Andrew

An operation by the St Andrew Central police have resulted in the seizure of a high-powered gun and several rounds of ammunition in the division yesterday.
Reports are that about 6:58 a.m., the team went to August Town Road in St Andrew.
During the operation a Bushmaster XM-15 rifle with two magazines and 49 rounds of 5.56 calibre ammunition were seized.
Detectives assigned to the Half Way Tree Criminal Investigation Branch are probing the matter.
