18-y-o 'Bop Bop' allegedly caught hiding gun under pillow
An 18-year-old labourer has been charged after police allegedly found a loaded revolver hidden under a pillow at his St Catherine home.
Jamar Brown, otherwise called 'Bop Bop', of Hill Avenue, Mall Road, Kingston 10, and Gordon Wood District, Old Harbour, was charged with possession of prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition following the early morning operation on Thursday, July 3.
Reports from the Portmore police are that around 4:45 a.m., officers acting on intelligence searched Brown's premises and discovered a silver and black .38 revolver loaded with three rounds of ammunition beneath his pillow.
He was arrested and later charged. His court date is being finalised.
