The police have identified the man who was fatally shot inÌýEast KingstonÌýon Monday.

Deceased is 30-year-oldÌýMarcus Godfrey, otherwiseÌýcalled 'G Money', aÌýmaintenanceÌýworker of Oliver Road, Kingston.

Reports are that about 7:15 a.m.ÌýGodfrey was along GlasspoleÌýAvenue when explosionsÌýwereÌýheard.

Lawmen were summoned and Godfrey was found withÌýwhat appeared toÌýbe gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was declared dead.
