A 24-year-old woman, who was robbed and killed in Clarendon on Tuesday, has been identified as Alisa Brooks.

According to the police's Corporate Communications Unit, Brooks was walking along the train track that leads to her home in Springs Grove, Manchester, at about 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, when she was pounced on by an unknown assailant who demanded her personal belongings.

Residents reportedly heard gunshots, and summoned the police.

On the arrival of the police, Brooks' body was seen. Her personal belongings were missing.

She was taken the May Pen Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
