Did you know that Asafa is a philanthropist?

The former 100m world-record holder donated $150,000 to his St Catherine based alma mater - Ewarton Primary School, in aid of the institution's planned upgrading of their Physical Education (PE) Department.

He also donated $200,000 to the Jamaican-German Automative School Academy (JAGAS), which is located on Maxfield Avenue, St Andrew, to assist Level-3 students.
