Little Kirk is ‘Waiting On My Turn’
Veteran reggae act Little Kirk said his latest single, Waiting On My Turn, is getting steady rotation on the airwaves and is set to become a musical anthem.
The track, which also features vocals from Shamrock and Sativa D Black 1, is described by Little Kirk as a timely message of hope and perseverance - a motivational and uplifting reminder for listeners to stay the course and remain patient as they pursue their goals.
"It's a powerful song and it gives off a positive vibration. Inna dem time here a bare gun ting and 'skin out' and 'ray-ray', but this song is just a different vibe," Little Kirk told THE WEEKEND STAR.
"I hope that this single will buss big right across the world, especially in Europe's side, because those are the places that embrace these types of songs. Jamaica people love consciousness eno, but some a dem love the dance ting. Everyone has their picks and preferences."
The singer said in addition to promoting Waiting On My Turn, he is also working on an album slated to be released later this year.
"I also have a dancehall project - a riddim called 'Escape', produced by myself and Donovan and Junior Miller. It has 14 tracks and features artistes like Wayne Wonder, Tanto and Devonte, Mr Lex, Turbulance, myself and others. It has been getting steady rotation right now," he said.
Once a member of Patrick Robert's Shocking Vibes recording label, Little Kirk is known for a slew of songs, including Don't Touch the Crack, When I Need You, Heal the World and Said I love You.
