Following the overflow of support and the 'tremendous' success of the inaugural staging of BZR Weekend (Bizarre Weekend) last year, fans have been clamouring for its return.

President and producer of BZR Weekend, Ryan Burke, told THE STAR that since the event, which saw Chris Brown and Sean Kingston delivering electrifying performances at the finale concert, he has received non-stop demands for a second show of that magnitude to return to Jamaica.

"BZR Weekend is back because of a slew of requests from patrons as we closed out a successful show in 2023. They have been sending DMs and emails asking if we will be returning to Jamaica in 2024 and patrons have been requesting artistes like Nicki Minaj, the return of Chris Brown, and also Usher," Burke shared. While remaining tight-lipped about granting those requested artistes or this year's line-up, he said that the acts "will not disappoint" as he promised to raise the bar even higher.

"We most definitely will be stepping things up as we always listen to our patrons, which is why the BZR team is in talks right now to sort the logistics. ?Just know everyone is extremely excited. We are very strategic on when we will announce the 2024 line-up, but for now limited super early bird tickets are available [since April 26]," he said.

The musical weekend of entertainment will kick-start with two premium party events on July 26 and July 27, leading up to the grand concert finale on July 28 at the National Stadium. However, an official launch is set to be hosted in May at the AC Marriott Hotel.

"The event was nothing short of amazing, we received great feedback, most of all, the patrons received their money's worth. They came out for R&B King Chris Brown and he delivered an unforgettable energetic set, giving us over an hour on stage singing a plethora of hit songs from his extensive catalogue. Pop star Sean Kingston delivered a mind-blowing performance which took us down to memory lane with his Billboard hits [and] our dancehall and reggae heavyweights [such as] Gramps Morgan, Aidonia, Teejay, Tommy Lee, and Ding Dong each understood the assignment and didn't drop the energy," he said. "So, this year, I don't expect anything less, just know we are in talks with some of your favourite artistes."

In heightening the experience and 'beefing up security', the event's organiser and its partners have welcomed TGE Consulting Team, to ensure their patrons have a great experience and do so safely.

Ellison said his team will be ensuring that aspects of operations that were cause for concern are dealt with effectively. "Our focus is on ensuring seamless execution and top-notch security protocols as we navigate through each phase of our projects," Gordon stated.
