Girlfriend thinks my penis is too curved
Dear Pastor,
I am 16 years old and I am still attending high school. I have a girlfriend who is 18. We love each other very much.
She lives with her parents and they are business people. She helps me out with money because my parents are poor, and they are not always able to give me pocket money. My father cuts lawns and he just bought himself a new lawnmower, so he is broke. My mother does days work for people, but we always have enough to eat. I have two older brothers and they send money for us sometimes.
But what I am writing to you about is my penis. It is the correct size, but it is curved. It is not straight. The first time my girlfriend saw it, she told me that something is wrong with it. I have known that something was wrong with my penis for a long time now and I have tried to wear boxers and not briefs so that nobody can look at me and know something is wrong.
My girlfriend was sexually active before we became friends. I didn't know that she was a bad girl. She told me she had sex three times with two different guys and their penises were not as crooked as mine. We were at her parents' home but they were out, so we had enough time to fool around. She tried to show me what to do because it was the first time I was having sex. She tried to straighten out my penis, but after a while I discharged in her hands and it felt so good. But she told me that she would give me money to go and see a doctor before we try to have sex again. She is a very pretty girl and I don't want to lose her. She is heading for university in September. She is planning to be a doctor.
I want to be an electrical engineer. The problem that I am having makes me feel that when I get older, I will not be able to satisfy my girlfriend, so I am asking you for your advice.
L.E.
Dear L.E.,
Please bear in mind that I am not a medical doctor. However, in studying to be a family counsellor, I have had to do research which includes a disease that is called peyronie.
That has to do with the severe bending of a man's penis. It can make sexual intercourse almost impossible. However, from what you have described about your penis, it does not seem as if you are suffering from such a disease. What some men seem to not understand is that it is not abnormal for a man's penis to have a little curve, either to the right or to the left.
A urologist can assure a man whether his penis is normal or not. Although your girlfriend is very young, she has concerns about your penis and because she is so concerned, she is causing you to worry as to whether you would be able to satisfy her when both of you are married. Frankly, I think that you would be wasting your money to go to a urologist. You are only 16 years old, but if your girlfriend would give you the money to do so, you probably should go.
Young man, I wish you well. Study hard and your desire would be realised. Let me hear from you again.
