Unruly Fest promises surprise acts
With eager anticipation building for the upcoming performance by US-based rapper Fivio Foreign at Unruly Fest this Friday, the event organisers have announced that more international acts could make appearances at Popcaan's grand show in St Thomas this weekend.
Foreign, who rose to fame in 2019 with his single Big Drip, has been included in a stellar line-up of entertainers which includes Popcaan, I-Wayne, Skillibeng, Chronic Law, Najeeriii, Louie Culture and Di-Ruption.
Foreign's trip to Jamaica comes after teaming up with fellow raper Lil Tjay for a flip of Wham!'s iconic 1986 song, Last Christmas. Popcaan recently colloborated with Fivio Foreign and Vybz Kartel for a fresh drop called Tequila Shots.
Unruly Fest's public relation officer, Abigail Rowe, told THE STAR that "lots more surprise community and international acts" will be at the event, slated for Phillips Field Sports Complex in Yallahs, St Thomas.
The show's creator, Popcaan, has been known to treat his audience to grand surprises. In 2018, he brought out international superstars Drake and Tory Lanez. In fact, the Unruly Boss surprise the crowd when he invited the OVO rapper on stage.
Carla Hollingsworth, Unruly Fest's event director, said the 2024 renewal of the show is not to be missed.
"Unruly Fest is that staple event that not only provides the people of St Thomas with quality entertainment, but also [other] Jamaicans. The show has a history of providing surprise international acts and gives new and up-and-coming artistes a platform to showcase their talent," Hollingsworth told THE STAR.
"I just want to implore everyone to get their tickets, come out early, drive safely, and have a great time in St Thomas with us," she added.
