Dancehall star D'Angel says she believes that jealousy is the reason behind the alleged 'beef' with her and dancehall twins, K-Queens.

The fiery online feud ignited about two weeks ago when D'Angel dropped lyrical bombs on several artistes, including her ex Bounty Killer, in her single War Angel. K-Queens, who are protegees of Bounty Killer's Alliance group, then released the single Donkey Dolly, which fans believe make clear references to D'Angel.

However, D'Angel opined that all this ruckus arose over her former relationships.

"They [K-Queens] are jealous of the fact that I was Bounty Killer's common-law wife and Beenie's wife, a dat a di big problem, a dat a kill dem. They'll need to put respect on my name, Michelle Downer [her given name], for you respectfully. I've carved out a name for myself and earned respect as a female artiste and I won't allow anyone to break that," she told THE STAR.

"From what I've been through, I won't allow anyone to take me back down that road, just for what, clout? Over 30 years dem [K-Queens] a try and a me fi come buss dem? Dem betta rethink," the Exposed singer added.

The artiste said the lyrical insults did not faze her because the twins are only seeking attention.

"They not going to rattle me because I don't read them [comments] but I am human and once you read negative comments about yourself, even if you don't open yuh mouth, just the energy it brings to you, will trigger you and it's not worth it," she said.

The Talk About artiste added that she believes that it's a waste of time for women to target each other in the dancehall space as it adds nothing to their careers.

"Dem [K-Queens] just a fight wid themselves and it makes no sense because that don't really put us anywhere. Even if they are trying to be an artiste and is in the music space for eternity and never got a break, you don't pick on other females to get recognition. You continue on your path, even if you have no talent, just find something that works for you," said D'Angel, while calling on all female artistes to empower and strengthen each other.

While admitting that she was 'throwing words' at artistes in War Angel, D'Angel said that she is firmly declaring 'war' against Bounty Killer but the five-star general "is not man enough" to face her in a clash.

"I initially wanted to clash both Beenie and Bounty but Beenie has been quiet. Only Bounty push up and I'm ready to take him down lyrically. A lot is bottled up inside and mi ready to explode," she said. While admitting to being booked for Sting this year, D'Angel said the event's promoter, Isaiah Laing, has not taken her up on the challenge to confront Bounty Killer.

"They are not going to entertain that because dem seh dem nuh clash woman, but me waah clash him. Me and Bounty is of the same standards suh mek him come," she said.
